Charity Penalty Shootout for Enable Ireland
Inspired by the terrific atmosphere of Euro 2016, one of our staff members, Edel O’ Gorman, suggested organising our very own Charity Penalty Shootout to have some fun while raising funds for a terrific cause. The idea was simple; invite teams from local businesses to enter a Penalty Shootout competition, in aid of a local charity.
On Friday the 8th of July, The Taxback Group held the 4Good4Glory Penalty Shootout in aid of Enable Ireland. 10 teams from various neighbouring businesses took part, resulting in 100 people playing while many more watched the action. Even our local Mayor, Patrick O’ Neill, couldn’t help but get involved! The teams from The Taxback Group, Bank of Ireland, State Street and AIB truly embraced the atmosphere of the event, which was boosted by the beautiful weather on the day too.
Mary Kenny of Enable Ireland said “We were delighted when The Taxback Group came to us with this idea and with the other companies in the business park on board. We have a strong relationship with The Taxback Group for the last few years and are delighted they’ve chosen our charity to benefit from this event.”
With prizes for the winners, a chance to network for the businesses, and a great amount of money raised for Enable Ireland, everyone in attendance left with a smile on their face. It was an honour to be behind this outstanding event, one which may be the start of something special!
